Patrick Dufner
Business Unit Director Oncology
Patrick has been with AbbVie since 2010. He started as Medical Manager and progressed to Head Medical Affairs Immunology. He later switched to the commercial side as Business Unit Manager Dermatology and Gastroenterology. After a stint as Commercial Director Dermatology in the European branch of AbbVie, he returned to Switzerland and took over the commercial management of Immunology. In September 2024 he changed the department and was named Buissness Unit Director Oncology.
Prior to joining AbbVie, Patrick worked in therapeutic antibody development at a UK company and in the European Medical Affairs department of an international pharmaceutical company. Patrick holds a doctorate in natural sciences from the ETH Zurich, a Master's degree in biotechnology and an MBA from the Universities of Rochester and Bern.
