People are at their best when they are doing well. That is why we support the physical and mental well-being of our employees.
Our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), which is available worldwide, supports employees in overcoming everyday challenges. EAP is a free and confidential service that offers help and counselling for personal or professional problems, including stress, grief, chronic illness, relationship and family conflicts or financial difficulties. The EAP is available to employees and their household members around the clock.
We offer all employees webinars on various topics relating to mental well-being so that they can give their best both in their private lives and at work. In addition, managers are given training opportunities to develop the necessary skills and confidence to identify employees with mental challenges, support them and provide them with useful resources.
Our flexible working methods help us to work as efficiently as possible. Where We Work, our hybrid working model for office-based employees, offers flexibility that can be planned without restricting personal collaboration. The Swiss model usually involves two to three days in the office and the rest of the days working from home. Depending on the employee's position, other options for flexibility in the workplace include part-time work, working from home, job sharing and much more.
AbbVie supports employees in the area of health and fitness with health initiatives such as our global exercise challenge "AbbVie in Motion". This offers opportunities to meet colleagues and, at the same time, promotes healthy behaviour. In 2022, AbbVie employees worldwide collectively logged more than 19 million minutes of physical activity during this four-week team challenge.
AbbVie supports employees in taking time for their families - for example, when giving birth or caring for a sick child.
Regardless of their stage of life, employees can focus on the people close to them thanks to our support services and programmes.
